Reviews: The second of two 12" samplers for Eskimo's mix CD put together by the legendary Daniele Baldelli and Marco Dionigi. The Tracks on the comp showcase the rockier side of Baldelli's "cosmic" sound but still retain a heavy disco influence. Included on this 12" are "Prepare To Energise" by William Orbit's Torch Song project, electronic pioneer Kevin Harrison's "Ink Man" and "50 In A 25 Zone" by Californian art-rockers Dream Syndicate. The second sampler taken from the forthcoming Baldelli comp (read about him in the other description), contains three more tracks that straddle the dividing lines between rock, disco and the left of field. On side-A is Torch Song with "Prepare To Energize" an ace 80's proto techno bomb. On side-B is Kevin Harrison with "Ink Man" a kind of outsider rock disco crossover with a dour vocal. Last up is Dream Syndicate and "50 In A 25 Zone" a dark disco infused rock number. A definitive taster of Baldelli, mixing all the elements he made famous with his inimittable style.
